TT Environmental Ltd was set up in August 2001 by Janet Murfin, a soil scientist with a technical background in the chemical industry. It took several years to get the business established, and by January 2006 the business had grown to a stage where help was essential. It was decided to hire people with complementary technical expertise to Janet, to enhance and expand the range of projects which could be undertaken. Sandra Jackson (now Hillier-Brook), a contaminated land geologist, joined the company in January, and Chris Swift, chemical engineer and air dispersion modelling expert, joined on a part-time basis later that year. The business moved to Halifax in August 2007 into an office building which is owned by Janet and her partner Mike Greenwood. Chris Swift joined the business full-time in March 2007.

Where we are now… and the future

At the moment, we are three highly skilled and experienced professionals who form a multi-disciplinary team with complementary technical skills. Our aim is to maintain and increase the quality of work and customer service we provide to our existing clients, and offer this to a wider range of new businesses.

We anticipate the business growing organically over the next few years, as we add new skills, products and people to help meet our clients needs.
